Immaterial Mediums

RISD Wintersession 2019

Immaterial Mediums was a self-designed 3-credit course taught at Rhode Island School of Design. This was an introductory seminar that tackled digital materiality through rendering, physics simulations, and animation in Maya. Below are samples of student work produced over 5 weeks.

Chunkscape Studio

UTK - 2nd Year - Fall 2021

A series of open-air museums that exhibit seemingly mundane aspects of Knoxville. These qualities were analyzed in three-dimensional “chunks”, that were obsessed over as souvenirs of the city. Projects ranged from gritty alleyways to colorful storefront galleries, and even a federal courthouse. We engaged the perspective of a tourist, to speculate on how to reimagine the city if it was repurposed for observation and play.
